After a very exciting voting it was decided that Måns Zelmerlöw is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. He won Europe’s favorite television show with his song “Heroes“.
In the beginning of the voting it was a very close race between Italy, Russia and Sweden. First Italy was out of the picture and a little later Russia was not able to gain enough points to keep track of Sweden. In the end Måns Zelmerlöw of Sweden won with 365 points. Russia came second with 303 points and Italy became third with 292 points.

Who is Måns Zelmerlöw?
Måns Zelmerlöw is a Swedish singer-songwriter who rose to fame by taking part in the second season of Swedish Idol. Although he didn’t win this competition he is one of the most successful artists coming out of it. He released three studio album and numerous singles. Some notable single releases are “Cara Mia”, “Hope & Glory”, “Broken Parts”, “Brother Oh Brother”and “Run For Your Life”.

How did Europe decide the winner
The final result of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 was decided by a 50:50 split between professional juries and televoting from all 40 participants. The jury votes were decided at last Friday’s Jury Final and the televotes were decided in last night’s show. Besides the countries that took part in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 thirteen other countries voted during last night’s final. The other countries were Belarus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Macedonia (F.Y.R.), Malta, Moldova, Portugal, San Marino, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Each country gave 12, 10 and 8-1 points to their favorite songs. Countries ranked outside of the top-10 did not receive points.
